Job Description

Job Overview

This job involves gathering parts used in automotive engines and transmissions based on shipping slips and transporting them to the shipping area. You’ll move around the warehouse with a forklift, picking necessary parts and loading trucks.

While each task is simple, “shipping the correct parts without errors” is most important. Therefore, systems are in place to prevent shipping mistakes by reading barcodes with handheld scanners. This is a safety-first style that emphasizes careful work.

Specific Duties

  • Check shipping slips and handheld terminals to identify required parts
  • Use forklift to pick parts from shelves and storage areas
  • Some manual cargo transfer work included
  • Transport collected parts to designated shipping locations with forklift
  • Load parts onto trucks when they arrive
  • Read barcodes on each package with handheld scanner and register shipping records
  • Warehouse organization and simple cleaning tasks

While forklift movement is the main task, there are also occasions to move your body moderately, such as when transferring parts. An environment suited for those who enjoy active work.

Daily Workflow (Sample)

2-shift rotation (early/late shifts) with weekly shift changes. A typical daily flow looks roughly like this:

  • Arrival, change into work attire, roll call
  • Meeting for daily shipping schedule and safety confirmation
  • Parts picking and shipping preparation with forklift
  • Break
  • Continue picking, transport, and loading operations
  • Overtime work as needed (approx. 0–20 hours/month)

Work proceeds at a steady rhythm, so once you get accustomed, it’s easy to find your own pace and focus steadily.

Ideal Candidates

We especially recommend this job for those who:

  • Want to leverage their forklift license
  • Enjoy working in warehouses and distribution centers
  • Want to focus quietly on work while doing active tasks
  • Can work with attention to accuracy and safe operation

Work Conditions

Work Hours & Schedule

  • Work Days: 5 days per week

  • Hours (Late Shift): 4:45 PM – 1:45 AM (subject to change based on conditions)
  • 2-shift rotation (weekly shift changes)

On early shift days, work finishes before evening, allowing plenty of personal time. On late shift days, mornings are leisurely, making this schedule easy to work even for those who “struggle with mornings.” With weekday-only work, it’s easy to maintain a regular life rhythm.

Days Off & Leave

  • Days Off: Weekends off
  • Extended Holidays: Golden Week, Obon, New Year’s (subject to placement company calendar)

With solid weekend rest, it’s easy to coordinate schedules with family and friends, allowing you to continue long-term while staying refreshed.

Compensation, Monthly Income Example & Allowances

  • Pay Type: Hourly wage
  • Hourly Rate: ¥1,200 – ¥1,500
  • Monthly Income Example: ¥211,200~ (estimate based on ¥1,200/hour × 8 hours × 22 working days)
  • Transportation: Provided separately (up to ¥12,000/month, subject to company policy)
